A homoeopathic paediatrician, a counselling expert and a freelance writer are a few words to describe my profession. My sole aim is to put forth practical piece of information that guides every one right in the direction, blending the medicos to a layman with a simple gesture to make the medical things a little less convoluted and comprehendible.

Who has not heard of the famous proverb, “Laughter is the best medicine”? Well every one of us knows that happiness and health are co-related factors. The doctors and health counselors have been screaming loudly since ages that if you want to remain healthy and strong it is necessary that your mind frames should be positive and happy. But is it that easy to be happy always? There are certain circumstances when we have to undergo crisis and problematic situation. But have you noticed that whenever there is unhappiness, you never feel bright and healthy. So does happiness really have a good impact on health or not?

Yes, happiness does influence your health positively. Studies have shown that when you’re happy, your immunity grows due to which your body is shielded from virus and bacterial infections. The research conducted by Carnegie Mellon University Psychology Professor, Sheldon Cohen have shown results that people who live happy and peaceful life are rarely inflicted with any disease compared to those who are unhappy or sad. And when happy people are affected with cold the symptoms are comparatively less and hence they recover fast and with less medication.  People with anxiety or stress are affected for longer time and with more symptoms.

Doctors have been advising since decades that happiness and positivity can help increase the strength of brain whereas if you are worried and in tension heart fluctuates faster and the blood pressure too elevates or dips down. Diabetes too is known to increase due to anxiety. Hence nowadays, laughter therapy is being introduced as one of the remedies to control chronic diseases like blood pressure, heart problems and diabetes. Many cities have their own laughter clubs which help the anxious and stressed out people to laugh for some time and ease out their tension. This proves that through laughter happiness is introduced in the life of people so that their problems and ailments can be controlled.

If you are in pain and distress emotionally it shows on your health. Most of the skin diseases are known to cause due to mental unhappiness. Skin infections like eczema although can be reduced cannot be fully eradicated because the seed of illness lies in the mental stress and hence the health problem can’t be cured.

Many times you see that after severe injury or damage to health, people come out from deathbed because they have willingness to leave and their will power helps them recover from impossible health condition. Hence the happier and merrier you are the more quickly you come out of any health problem. Rather happy people do not get easily affected by diseases easily.

Apart from laughter therapy, to keep your mindset happy and bouncing every time, regular breathing and physical exercises can be tried. An exercise regulates your blood flow and keeps all your organs and joins in top condition. Due to this you feel lighter and happy which in turn boosts the production of white blood corpuscles and make you strong against any disease.
