Hair Transplant in Delhi

A homoeopathic paediatrician, a counselling expert and a freelance writer are a few words to describe my profession. My sole aim is to put forth practical piece of information that guides every one right in the direction, blending the medicos to a layman with a simple gesture to make the medical things a little less convoluted and comprehendible.

Our skin normally has 3 types: Normal, dry and oily. Depending upon the production of sebum, which is sticky oil like lubricant inside the hair follicles present on the skin, the skin type is decided. This sebum is secreted inside the oil glands or sebaceous glands and although they are present right from birth, they became more active at puberty.  And that is the reason why many youngsters, especially teenagers experience a cluster of acne or pimple eruption on their faces. This happens when the oil or sebum secretion is in excess.

Oily skin causes and problems

Hormones have been found to play a significant role in the occurrence of skin type. Usually, if either of your parents have an oily skin, then it is more likely that you too would be having oily skin. The individuals having oily skin also have oily scalp and hence the problems are both ways. Oil secretion on skin and scalp in excess attracts dirt and grime and hence clogs the skin pores. Due to this the pimples and acnes occur. Similarly an oily scalp too becomes sticky very early and attracts dust and hence can cause dandruff which also causes skin infections on forehead and near front hairline. Some of the common causes of oily skin are genetics, diet, hormones, environment, stress and wrong use of cosmetics.

How to take care of oily skin?

Cleaning should be a very religious care regime as far as oily skin is concerned. Wash your face twice or thrice a day with mild soap and lukewarm water so that the excess of oil is removed. Never use very hot water or very chilled water for cleaning. Also stay away from harsh chemical based soaps. Instead opt for natural foam based cleansers and toners which can help control the oil secretion. Always use simple makeup especially on those bad skin days when you have more acne on your face. Try to avoid harmful chemicals, instead use natural products like aloe vera for cleaning your face or using in the face pack. One of the most important things that should be strictly followed when you have acne is not to hurt or prick it as it can lead to permanent scarring.

Use good astringents and face packs

Natural astringents work wonders for controlling the sebum or oil production and hence can minimize the occurrence of acne and pimples. Lemon or cucumber juice if applied regularly once a day after cleansing can help to check the oil secretion and it also gives your face a new refreshing look.  You can also use honey with these two juices as honey is a great healer and can reduce the scars caused by pimples and acne. Face packs made of organic clay is good for refreshing and reducing the oil on skin. Many spas also offer whole body organic clay pack. This helps to reduce excess oil problems around other body parts like hips, near underarms etc.

Follow good dietary habits that have less oil and fats and instead opt for protein based, fiber rich diet as it can clean all the toxins from your body. Also drinking plenty of water and natural drinks like coconut water or mint fresh concoction can help control oily skin problems.
