A homoeopathic paediatrician, a counselling expert and a freelance writer are a few words to describe my profession. My sole aim is to put forth practical piece of information that guides every one right in the direction, blending the medicos to a layman with a simple gesture to make the medical things a little less convoluted and comprehendible.

Nutrition plays a vital role in the development of a child. In other words, child nutrition and nourishment goes hand in hand invariably. It prevents several critical illness and diseases such as digestive problem, cardio problems, obesity, diabetes and many more. Nowadays, children get fascinated about junk foods incredibly. They are completely unaware of the harms and side effects of eating junk foods in excess. It is the responsibility of the parents to keep their child away from the unhealthy delectables as eating them lead to the nutritional deficiencies.

However, proper diet of the child will strengthen permanent eating habits in long run and would help immensely. There are several healthy foods available in the market that should to be served to the child for the proper nourishment.

  • Milk It often seems that children turn their taste towards other drinks such as cold drinks, soda etc instead of drinking milk. Milk is the best source of Vitamin D, calcium and proteins for the child. Milk must be included in the diet chart. Serve milk to the child depending on the age and requirement. Milk plays a vital role in strengthening the bones. Note that if a child has allergies to milk then don’t serve and look for other options like soy etc.
  • Fruits – Fruits are always a part of the best child nutrition diet. They are low-calorie and high fiber that contains vitamins and minerals. These vitamins and minerals help child to grow in a proper manner. Therefore, encourage your child to intake a variety of seasonal fruits daily. They are flavorsome and should be encouraged in various varieties such as Apple, banana, orange, grapes, etc.
  • Vegetables - Children must be motivated to eat varieties of vegetables. Vegetables play a vital role in the food pyramids of the child and they must be included in the child diet chart. They are rich in vitamin C, A, potassium, fiber, and other minerals and other vitamins. Each vegetable has its respective advantages and benefits. So, one must include all the seasonal vegetables according to the seasonal high.
  • Yogurt - Yogurt is the best alternative for milk. It is rich in calcium and best for those children who don’t drink milk or have allergy to milk.
  • Eggs Eggs are a good source of protein and contains other vital vitamins and minerals. If you are thinking about the cholesterol level then it doesn’t contain cholesterol or fat compounds that make it the best thing for the breakfast. One can include an egg in the breakfast to make up.
  • Breakfast cereal There are several whole grain cereals available in the market in different tastes and varieties. You can allow your children to eat healthy cereal in breakfast.

Make sure that all these items are must to be accumulated in the child nutrition diet chart for complete nourishment and development. Try to offer boil, steam and grill foods instead of fried ones. Frying foods is not wise to adopt where as if the child has to eat outside then fried can be approached but not otherwise.
