A homoeopathic paediatrician, a counselling expert and a freelance writer are a few words to describe my profession. My sole aim is to put forth practical piece of information that guides every one right in the direction, blending the medicos to a layman with a simple gesture to make the medical things a little less convoluted and comprehendible.
Just as your physical appearance and figure demonstrates your life style and vitality similarly, your skin is the mirror and also representative of your personality and the care you take to maintain it. Although there are a few who are naturally gifted by glowing skin all throughout the season, most of us can achieve the same by indulging in some pampering for our skin’s health. And even those naturally blessed have to follow some regime to maintain the glowing look on their skin. Try out the following steps and you can well be on your way towards achieving healthy and glowing skin.
Regular cleaning and moisturizing
Our skin and scalp tends to collect lot of dust and grime from the surroundings due to which it looses its glow and beauty. Hence the skin should be regularly cleaned and kept soft and supple by the use of good moisturizer. The choice of the cleanser and the moisturizer will depend upon the type of skin. Normal to dry skin needs cleansing lotion or milk whereas you can use foam based cleanser for oily skin. Cleansing is also important to prevent your skin from getting infections and pimples, acnes, blackheads, white heads and other skin problems.
Moisturizing base too should be chosen depending upon the skin type and also age. Normal to dry skin types can go for oil based creams whereas oily skin types can use lotion based moisturizer. Even as you age your skin tends to loose the essential oils. For that you should use more oil based products which help you to retain the glow on your skin.
This is regarding the cleanliness of face. But your body skin too tends to loose moisture and hence regular use of good cleaning soap while bathing and an after bath hand and body lotion works wonders especially during the winter, when the skin tends to become more dry.
Exercise and Diet
Exercise increases blood circulation and give a glow to your skin. It helps to remove the waste from your body making it look healthier and supple. Instead of going for heavy exercises once in a while, a person with normal weight should instead opt for light but regular exercises like jogging, fast walking, cycling etc. Eating fiber rich and nutritious food nourishes your overall body and gives a glow of health to your skin. Always include salads like carrot, cabbage, lettuce, and water-dense fruits etc. which help in improving the bowel movements. This gives you a very healthy and glowing skin.
Once in a while a good massage of the whole body with nourishing oils and milk gives the skin that envious glow. Blood circulation is improved due to massage and scrubbing and dead skin is removed, revealing the fresh healthy skin inside.
Topical applications and face pack
Apart from the above care you can also go for some topical applications for getting instant glow on special occasions.
Cleaning and scrubbing with the help of scrub face pack is a good idea. You can also try various face packs like banana and honey blend, milk cream and turmeric powder, honey and lemon juice, mashed papaya with honey, egg yolk and lemon juice and many.
